Since rolling out a new warehouse facility in Northampton, fulfilrr now operates across three strategically placed warehouses in the UK, as well as one in the US and one in Germany.

Why have we implemented these changes now?
Part of the reason behind this was to stay ahead of the problematic surge that we all face around Christmas in the warehousing, shipping, and logistics industry. Our answer? Bespoke solutions utilising real-time technology to increase capacity and improve efficiency across our warehouse operations.
The new systems we’ve integrated have solved the exact problem we set out to solve. They have enabled us to streamline and optimise the entire order fulfilment process even further, with each bit of tech integration bringing different capabilities and benefits to the table. Well wonder no more. Our Nottingham warehouse has received a full systems interface upgrade. The system from utilises a technology-heavy approach which enables real-time picking, packing, and shipping updates to give you sight of what’s happening to your orders, as it’s happening.
The benefits of this are boundless. In today’s hyper-connected world, customers are increasingly demanding when it comes to exceptional service and real-time visibility of each shipment along every step of the fulfilment journey. The instant notifications provided by our new system enables this.
By offering status updates at critical touch points (such as status of their shipment, advising of potential delivery delays), your customers will be provided peace of mind, ensuring them that their shipment is in safe hands.
What about improvements to the rest of the fulfilment process?
We’ve got you covered there, too. Our Northampton (and soon to be Kettering) warehouse now benefits from a simple, yet innovative and effective system introduced to bring efficiencies to the picking and packing process.
The new tech enables warehouse pickers and packers to locate and pack each item in your order by referring to a photo of the product. Not only does this remove the need for product barcoding (an often expensive and time consuming requirement during the set-up process), but it speeds up the picking process and allows us to offer bespoke multi-SKU pickfaces and packing areas, in turn better optimising use of space and ultimately saving you money on storage costs.

What’s the relevance of this?
Shameless bit of self-promotion incoming. Both of our new efficiency-improving systems were implemented by the expert team here at fulfilrr while either onboarding new clients or moving their order fulfilment from another centre to ours.
