We spoke to Mo Bro’s Grooming...
…to find out what it’s like working with fulfilrr and how taking the leap to outsource their fulfilment operation transformed their business.
Mo Bro’s is a men’s grooming retailer headquartered in Oadby, Leicester, United Kingdom. The company was founded in 2014 by entrepreneurial brothers Keval Dattani, Kunal Dattani and Savan Dattani. It specialises in products for the grooming, styling, and maintaining of facial hair, operating online and across the United Kingdom in partnership with High Street retailers. Over the last few years of business, it has sold to over 500,000 bearded bros in 78 countries around the world, exporting 40% of it’s products sold internationally with distribution hubs based in the UK, Germany, Cyprus & USA.
How it all began
It all started when the three brothers challenged each other to grow a beard for Movember. With each having mixed results; from looking hairy and dishevelled to only a few sprouts, it got them wondering what products were out there specifically for beards. Realising there was little on the market in the UK, they set about buying raw natural ingredients to try mixing their own products. When a test run sold out on eBay in 24 hours they knew they were onto something.
Now in 2022 the brothers have grown and established Mo Bro’s as an award-winning brand, dedicated to products for beard grooming, with their eyes now set on moving into the fast growing men’s grooming category. So what made them take the step in outsourcing their fulfilment?

Finding the one
Looking for a fulfilment service that fitted with their ethos, is family-run, not too large to affect the level of customer care, or too small to not meet their needs in full, wasn’t easy. However, after meeting several fulfilment houses, they met with Adam, one of the team from fulfilrr (or Rapid Fulfilment, as we were then known) and a relationship soon began.

The results
By outsourcing their fulfilment to fulfilrr, the brothers have achieved financial savings of between £10-20k per year. However, for them the real value has been in the time it has freed up. Picking and packing orders for them is effectively dead time, as the sale has already been completed. So by allowing fulfilrr to manage this for them, they have been able to focus their energy back into the sales and marketing activities, to bring in further sales and grow the business.
Their advice for any ecommerce business achieving annual sales of at least £200k is to outsource fulfilment. The savings in time, money and energy make it an obvious choice.
